I have my puramax litter for 10 months now, but since one week, at every beginning of the cycle the sensor is self-triggered even if nothing is there and the only way to have it completing the cycle is manually confirm nothing is there.
be sure the device stands over the floor correctly. I hope this solves your problem!

I have the same issue - sensor triggers for no reason. Bought in Nov 2023, warranty, expired November 2024. Problem started in December 2024. Out of warranty.
Customer Service wants me to send them a video of the issue? It appears to be an issue with the sensor by the amount of complaints yet they have no fix. Considering the cost of their product, they should be able to do a software fix or something. Poor poor Customer Service, fix the issue for all your customers..

Anyone gotten this resolved? Received my Puramax 2.0 just 4 days ago and it has the same behaviour. Stops halfway through the cleaning wit sensor error. Double click on OK does nothing, need to turn it off and relevel to get it running again.

I got mine in November 2023. Just recently the sensor would trigger during the cleaning cycle for no apparent reason. Hitting the OK button twice like it tells you to do does absolutely nothing. I have to power it off, power it back on go to the app and do a manual cleaning. For the cost of these self cleaning litter boxes I shouldn’t be having these issues. I am in contact with customer support as we speak we shall see.
Mine is sitting on a wood floor no mat under it and it’s far enough away from the wall.

I removed the mat that came with the Pura Max, and I no longer have issues with the cat detection during the cleaning cycle. That said, I'm still in kitten mode so I can't speak for the auto-cleaning function. However, the sensor hasn't been triggered for anything since I removed the mat. I'm not sure what it's for anymore... If you can't use it without triggering the sensor...

Similar problem. It was auto cleaning properly but if I tried to use the app to force a cleaning the sensor goes off saying there is a cat in the box when there isn't. Tried to hit "ok" twice on the unit as it prompted but that won't work. I have to physically unplug it and allow for an auto reset. That went on for a week, now it won't auto clean.

Hi, same error here, since the first use after bought...the sensor triggers every self cleaning cycle when the door is in the opposite direction. I tried to change the pet weight either with the real one or with an exceeding value in both side...but nothing changed.
Moreover ther is no way to force continue the cycle by remote app, to let the door back in normal place...you can only press the physical button on the Pura Max 2
Please help!

Same problem but since the beginning. I don't know if "kitten mode" change something but actually can't disable it since my cat love to enter in my pura Max always when it's moving (so cleaning)
